The Purist natural wine line is born: wine from the amphora, unfiltered and unsulphured, with its own label.
Purist is our natural wine line: wine from the amphora, unfiltered and unsulphured. Its own label carries the big F and the word Purist. Here the Chardonnay and the Pinot Blanc.

1 / 2A label of its own for the new Cuvée Furore.
The Cuvée Furore gets a label that breaks the mould: a black bottle bearing a label like torn paper.

1 / 2The F on the label gets its current design: slimmer, more modern, set at an angle.
The round F becomes a slim, slanted F, drawn large across the whole label. Here on our rosé and a white wine. It's how our bottles are recognised on the shelf to this day.

1 / 4A new grape reception, a gentle destemmer and a hose pump replace the old equipment — for even gentler processing.
At harvest the grapes come from the vineyard to the press house in crates. There, since 2018, they are handled by a new grape reception, a gentle destemmer and a peristaltic pump. The photos are from the 2020 harvest.

The mulcher mows the green cover between the vine rows high and gently, so that it can build up well. The photos show a machine of this type from Fischer, as the dealer showed it to us.

1 / 3In November a new tasting room and show cellar open — tasting wine in stylish surroundings, with changing art exhibitions. There is also a new office and a new storage cellar.
The pictures were taken at the opening in November 2013. Large glass surfaces, wood and plenty of light: this is where we have been tasting with our guests ever since, surrounded by changing art exhibitions. Behind the walls, a new office and a new storage cellar were added.

1 / 5The hall opposite the family home becomes vacant and is taken over. This is where the new press house is built — to this day, the place where our wines are made.
In April 2003 the new presses from Wottle were delivered; by September everything was in place in the hall and the first visitors were looking around. An empty hall opposite the family home became the press house in which every vintage has been made ever since.

1 / 2A new label is created: for the first time it features the die-cut F. It also goes on older vintages that are only now being bottled.
The round F is our first emblem of our own. Upright, in a circle, in red and gold. From 2001 it appears on our bottles, including the older vintages that are only bottled that year.

Othmar and Hilda Frühwirth acquire the house at Wiener Neustädter Straße 75 — a former Konsum shop. The mixed farm becomes the foundation for the Heuriger.
Above the windows it still says KONSUM, with two bicycles leaning in front. This is how the house looked before Othmar and Hilda took it over. Over the years the village shop became our Heuriger (wine tavern).
